Meet our Apprentice Web Developer

Meet the newest member of the Webkick team...

Sophie Porter 27. Jul 2017 2 minutes

Recently, we were delighted to work with our local sixth-form college, Sparsholt, to employ an Apprentice Web Developer; working with us here in office 4 days a week, whilst studying 1 day a week.

Joel, who joined us last month, is currently studying to complete his City & Guilds Level 3 ICT, and will be with us as an Apprentice for the next 2 years, and hopes to be with us full time once his course has finished.

As an Apprentice Web Developer, Joel’s responsibilities include:

  • Website maintenance

  • Hosting & domain support

  • Support with technical issues

Joel hopes to become a Full Stack Web Developer in the future, and is soon to be taking on the development of his first website with us.

Of his time with us (so far!), Joel comments:

“In the month that I’ve been here, I’ve learnt so much more than I was learning before.”

We’re really proud of Joel and what he’s accomplished with us so far, and we’re looking forward to seeing what the future holds for him; supporting his development and ensuring he reaches his full potential.
