As a fledgling game development company, in the early stages of creating its very first game, Blueprint Games needed a website that complimented their position in the gaming industry, whilst clearly highlighting their USP; providing visitors with the means to follow the company’s progress with the development of the game on multiple platforms – a website that not only captured visitors’ interest, but held it – including social buttons, latest updates, and an area to try out a small part of this mysterious game…
We first spent time getting to know the team behind the game; quickly establishing the company’s USP: their backgrounds. From this, we made a feature of staff profiles, whilst maintaining an air of mystery around the game itself, in line with the tone of the game – keeping the identity of the main voice actor in this genre-bending horror game a fatal secret. We then established a need for social media feeds and buttons on every page, and a blog page that would keep visitors engaging with the project.
Now, Blueprint Games’ inaugural game, ‘Relapse’ has a strong online presence; a place in the online world where audiences can follow the process, get to know the team behind the game, engage on various platforms, and even trial exclusive demos before the game’s completion and consequent release. Visitors to the website, and various social media platforms, can now feel part of the process; building trust and loyalty with the company, and a strong fan-base – poised with excitement to purchase the game upon its debut!
