The Test Valley Business Awards is a well-established local business awards initiative, providing the ideal platform to promote business excellence and to shine a light on the many new and small innovative businesses operating out of sight, in the area.
Accented by 2 events throughout the year-long process, in order for the Test Valley Business Awards to reach, and appeal to, as many local businesses as possible, support with communication was crucial; driving professional individuals from local businesses to firstly attend the launch event, and then follow that up by entering the competition – the most crucial part of the entire process.
We worked with the organisers to develop an email marketing campaign around key events during the process.
This began with an email to go out to all past entrants, interested parties, and other contacts known to the organisers, calling for bookings to the launch event.
In the days that followed this event, an email was sent out to the same list, thanking them for their interest in the Test Valley Business Awards, and encouraging recipients to enter their business, and nominate their partners & suppliers, whilst also providing useful information, help, and guidance around submissions.
Within 2 weeks of the first email going out, the launch event was sold out – seeing 110 spaces booked as a result of the campaign.
Following this, with the support of the follow-up email calling for entries, the Test Valley Business Awards ended their entry & nomination period for 2017 with over 170 entries – the highest number of entries received in the Awards’ 13-year history.
