Achieving a record number of entries, improving overall user engagement, and tripling website traffic.
The Test Valley Business Awards is a well-established local business awards initiative, providing the ideal platform to promote business excellence, and to shine a light on the many new and small innovative businesses operating out of sight, in the area.
Redesigning the Awards’ website to better reflect the initiative’s priorities – driving entries through the website via an online entry form, and keeping visitors up to date with latest news from the Awards – we were able, not only to create a fully functional, blog-driven website with a fresh, new look.
In order for the Test Valley Business Awards to reach, and appeal to, as many local businesses as possible, support with communication was crucial; driving professional individuals from local businesses to firstly attend the launch event, and then follow that up by entering the competition – the most crucial part of the entire process.
Therefore, we worked with the organisers to develop an email marketing campaign around key events during the process; firstly encouraging people to attend a launch event, and then to enter the competition.
Within 2 weeks of the first email going out, the launch event was sold out – seeing 110 spaces booked as a result of the campaign.
Following this, with the support of the follow up email calling for entries, the Test Valley Business Awards ended their entry & nomination period for 2017 with over 170 entries – the highest number of entries received in the Awards’ history at that point.
