Wessex Tubas was established by experienced British tuba player Jonathan Hodgetts in 2010, with the aim of bringing the pleasure of brass music making to the masses.
7 years on, and Wessex Tubas is a renowned and well-respected brand in the brass instrument industry; selling high-quality brass all over the world, predominantly online.
Wessex Tubas was rapidly growing – its online and telephone sales far exceeding any expectation as the sheer quality and affordability of the products on offer were being discovered by more and more people across the world.
Therefore, Wessex Tubas was beginning to outgrow the capability and capacity of its current site; the content and photography used also needing an entire revamp, to reflect the exceptional quality of the company’s offerings.
We created a new, responsive ecommerce website, showcasing Wessex as the influential, premium quality yet affordable brand it is; ensuring a smoother online shopping experience that works on mobiles, a base for effective Content Marketing with space for a blog, and then we updated the imagery across the site by working with an award-winning photographer to capture the sheer beauty of each instrument.
To reflect the company’s global reach, we implemented geolocation on the site; a way of identifying where in the world each customer was visiting from, and showing them prices and currency accordingly – visitors from the US, for example, would be shown prices in dollars, and those in the UK, shown pounds.
